Robert A. "Bob" Lutz (born February 12, 1932) is a vice chairman at General Motors Company. On July 10, 2009 Chairman Fritz Henderson announced that Lutz will come out of retirement.
Lutz was born in Zurich, Switzerland. He was the son of a bank director and left Switzerland at the age of seven, returning ten years later for a period at school in Lausanne.
Lutz received a bachelor's degree in Production Management in 1961 followed by an MBA in 1962, both from UC Berkeley. He is a member of the board of the Marine Corps University Foundation and the Marine Military Academy.
