LONDON, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- A truck emblazoned with the slogan "We Fit" failed to live up to its own standards when it became wedged beneath a railway bridge in London.

The London Fire Brigade said no one was injured in the incident and posted a tongue-in-cheek response to the Halfords truck's situation on Twitter.

"On this occasion the 'we fit' lorry didn't quite fit under this Beckenham bridge. Thankfully the driver is unhurt," the tweet read.

"Going the 'extra mile' might have been the better option rather than trying to squeeze under a bridge in Beckenham," the brigade said in another tweet, referencing a message on the truck saying "we go the extra mile."

The Monday mess took about five hours to clear up, emergency responders said. Some trains were delayed as a result of the incident and cleanup efforts

A Halfords representative apologized for the incident.

"Clearly 'We Didn't Fit' and we would like to apologize for any delays and inconvenience caused to road and train travelers and will be working with the authorities to carry out a full investigation," the representative said.
