May 23 (UPI) -- Police in Wisconsin helped a member of the public with an unusual rescue when a fawn was found to have fallen into a storm drain.
The Eau Claire Police Department shared video from when officers responded Monday to a call from someone who heard the baby deer crying from inside the storm drain.
The man who called in the report remained on the scene, and the video shows him climb into the drain and hand the deer to officers.
Police said the fawn was reunited with its mother in the nearby woods.
