Nov. 2 (UPI) -- A crash between two trucks on a Texas highway covered the roadway with prescription drugs and syringes.

Police said the truck hauling the prescription drugs and syringes was rear-ended by a big rig just after midnight Friday on State Highway 105, just east of Cut and Shoot.

The small section of State Highway 105 was closed for several hours Friday morning while crews worked to clean up the mess.

The driver of the prescription drug truck was hospitalized with a minor leg injury.

Police said the drugs and supplies were recovered from the road and returned to the distributor.
