June 27 (UPI) -- Animal Control officers in Connecticut responded to a restaurant dumpster where they rescued a trapped mother raccoon and her three babies.
West Hartford Animal Control said a delivery person called Tuesday to report the family of dumpster-diving trash pandas appeared to be unable to climb out of the garbage receptacle without assistance.
Animal Control officers responded and placed a wooden pallet inside the dumpster in such a way that allowed the raccoons to climb out.
The mother and her babies were last seen walking off to "find a quiet place to sleep off their full stomachs."
Animal Control urged local business owners to keep their dumpsters closed to prevent "food loving critters from getting trapped inside."
