FX orders third season of Donald Glover's 'Atlanta'

June 9 (UPI) -- FX has announced it ordered a third season of Atlanta, executive produced by and starring Donald Glover.

The show follows cousins as they navigate the Georgia music scene. It co-stars Brian Tyree Henry, Lakeith Stanfield and Zazie Beetz.

"Atlanta is phenomenal, achieving and exceeding what few television series have done," Nick Grad, FX's president of original programming, said in a statement to EW.com. "With Atlanta Robbin' Season, Donald and his collaborators elevated the series to even greater heights, building on the enormous success of their award-winning first season.
