May 22 (UPI) -- Syfy announced Tuesday has ordered a second season of space saga "Krypton" to air in 2018-19.
Season 1 is expected to wrap up Wednesday. The series features characters from the DC Comics universe and was developed by David S. Goyer.
Set two generations before the destruction of Superman's home planet, the show follows Seg-El (played by Cameron Cuffe,) who is the Man of Steel's grandfather. It co-stars Georgina Campbell, Shaun Sipos, Elliot Cowan, Blake Ritson, Ian McElhinney and Colin Salmon.
