ABC renews 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' for a sixth season

May 14 (UPI) -- ABC announced Monday it renewed its Marvel action-drama Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a sixth season.

Starring Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen and Chloe Bennet, the show follows the world-saving, non-superhero members of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division.

Season 5 is to wrap Friday.

"Coulson's life or death is the challenge the team finds themselves in, as the wrong decision will cause the destruction of Earth!" the Marvel website said about the season finale.
