"I have never felt more like ME than I do right now!!" Hough captioned a slideshow. "I have always felt like a red head my whole life, even to the point that I've thought that my future daughter would 100% be a red head!"

"I've seriously talked about doing this for 6 years, ask anyone who knows me...and now that I'm on this new journey, exploring and finding out who I truly am, I said screw it! I feel more feminine and alive and I love it!" she gushed.

"Thank you to @ambahhh at @ninezeroone for making my hair dreams come true! #divinefeminine #femmefatale #rubyredvalentine," the star added.

Hough's husband, hockey player Brooks Laich, was among those to compliment the star in the comments, writing, "BOMBSHELL!" He dedicated a sweet post to Hough the same day in honor of Valentine's Day.

"Happy Valentine's Day @juleshough - you are the most amazing person I have ever met, truly beautiful inside and out," the athlete wrote. "You are the compass of my life, and I am beyond grateful for the love you give to me. Now and always, B! #valentinesday."

Hough married Laich in July after more than three years of dating. She is best known for competing as a professional dancer and serving as a judge on the ABC reality competition Dancing with the Stars.
