Country singer Brett Young marries in California

Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Country singer Brett Young is a married man.

Us Weekly confirmed the 37-year-old recording artist tied the knot with Taylor Mills at a wedding Saturday in Palm Springs, Calif.

Young confirmed the news in an Instagram post Monday using the hashtag "#ForeverYoung." In addition, Mills changed her username on Instagram to Taylor Mills Young.

People reported Young and Mills said their "I dos" in front of 200-plus guests at Bighorn Golf Club. Young's dad, Brad Young, and manager, Van Hazelitt, officiated the ceremony.

"Being able to be best friends with a person you're going to spend the rest of your life with is the most important thing," Young said of his bride. "She has a very pure, kind heart."

Young and Mills got engaged in February after several years of dating. Young told People and Mills plan to start a family sooner than later.

"We've been together for a long time and we do want kids soon," he said. "This is the beginning of our life together, and I'm excited to say husband and wife!"

Young is known for the singles "In Case You Didn't Know," "Like I Loved You" and "Mercy." He will release his second studio album, Ticket to L.A., in December.
