Bong Joon-ho, Antonio Banderas, Emily Beecham win big at Cannes

May 25 (UPI) -- Parasite won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in France on Saturday.

The Grand Prix went to Atlantics, helmed by Mati Diop, and Céline Sciamma won the Best Screenplay honor for Portrait of a Lady on Fire.

Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne shared the Best Director prize for Young Ahmed, Variety said.

Antonio Banderas was voted Best Actor for Pain and Glory, and the Best Actress prize was bestowed on Emily Beecham for Little Joe.

The Hollywood Reporter said there was a tie for the Jury Prize: Les Misérables and Bacurau.
