Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Jason Momoa rules the ocean in a pair of new Aquaman posters that also feature Amber Heard as Princess Mera.

Momoa, who portrays the titular DC Comics superhero, is standing amongst a waterfall while wearing Aquaman's classic orange and green outfit. The actor is also holding the character's signature golden trident.

"He's not from around here," reads the caption from the poster.

Momoa is joined by Heard in a second poster that features Aquaman and Mera, his love interest, standing together above water. "Home is calling," reads the caption, in reference to Aquaman's home of Atlantis.

The images follow the recent release of a set of character posters that featured Nicole Kidman as Aquaman's mother Queen Atlanna, Patrick Wilson as Aquaman's half-brother King Orm, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as ruthless mercenary Black Manta, Willem Dafoe as Atlantis adviser Vulko and Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus.

Aquaman, from director James Wan, is set to arrive in theaters on Dec. 21.

Amazon has announced that it will be offering Aquaman tickets to Amazon Prime members to see the film earlier on Dec. 15.

Amazon will be selling the tickets at a future date through their website and is working with theater chains such as Regal Cinemas, Cinepolis and ArcLight, among others.
