Wesley Snipes, Tituss Burgess join 'Dolemite' ensemble

June 15 (UPI) -- Wesley Snipes, Mike Epps, Craig Robinson, Tituss Burgess and Da'Vine Joy Randolph are to co-star with Eddie Murphy in the Netflix movie Dolemite is My Name!

Director Craig Brewer began filming the Rudy Ray Moore biopic in Los Angeles this week. It is set for release in 2019.

"Real life story of the irreverent Rudy Ray Moore, a 'larger than life' comedian, musician, singer, actor, and film producer in the 1970s. When he couldn't get work in Hollywood, he simply created his own -- including the most well-known Blaxploitation film of all time, Dolemite," a Netflix synopsis said.

"Secret's out. Put it on your calendar folks -- Eddie Murphy, Wesley Snipes, Mike Epps, Craig Robinson, and ME! Dolemite is My Name -- out on Netflix next year!!! #dolemite #netflix #everybodyblack," Burgess tweeted Thursday.
