John Morrison returning to WWE

Dec. 4 (UPI) -- John Morrison is set to return to WWE with the professional wrestler coming to terms with the company on a multi-year deal.

Morrison's return was first announced on Tuesday during professional wrestling talk show WWE Backstage.

"Confirmed I have signed with @WWE," the grappler said on Twitter. "I've never been as good as anything as I am at wrestling & I can't wait to stand again in a #WWE ring opposite the most talented people in the business."

Morrison's return date and which WWE brand he will be sent to will be announced at a later date.

The Guru of Greatness is a five-time Tag Team Champion, three-time Intercontinental Champion and also held the ECW World Championship.

Morrison, best known for his unique offense and slow-motion entrance, exited WWE in 2011. He first joined the company in 2002 after he won the third season of professional wrestling competition series, Tough Enough.
