CHICAGO, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Nearly a half century ago, African-Americans were outraged by the killing of a 14-year-old black youth by Mississippi racists. His mother, Mamie Mobley Till, a civil rights leader and educator, allowed Emmett Till's savagely beaten body to be viewed by thousands of mourners.
