Magic sign Alexander

ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 29 -- The Orlando Magic signed guard Cory Alexander to a 10-day contract on Monday.

The 6-1 Alexander last played in the NBA for Denver during the 1999-2000 season, averaging 2.8 points, 2.0 assists and 1.4 rebounds per game while playing 11.3 minutes per contest.

Alexander, a former star at the University of Virginia, has played in 265 career NBA games with San Antonio and Denver. He has career averages of 5.9 points, 2.9 assists and 1.6 rebounds while averaging 16.7 minutes per game.NEWLN:
