SEATTLE, July 23 -- The Seattle SuperSonics Tuesday signed free agent guard Craig Ehlo to a three-year guaranteed contract. Financial terms were not disclosed. The 34-year-old Ehlo strengthens a Seattle bench led by veterans Nate McMillan and Sam Perkins.

The signing comes one day after Seattle signed free agent center Jim McIlvaine to replace Ervin Johnson, who signed with the Denver Nuggets. Ehlo, a 13-year veteran, spent the last three seasons with the Atlanta Hawks. He averaged 8.5 points and shot 37 percent from three- point range in 79 games last season. The 6-7, 205-pound Ehlo, a native of Spokane, Wash., who played at Washington State University in Pullman, will be joining his fourth NBA team. He was originally drafted in the third round of the 1984 draft. Ehlo was signed as a free agent by Cleveland in January of 1987 and played seven years with the Cavaliers.
