Ex-Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe slain at 67: a look back (36 images)

Shinzo Abe, Japan's longest-serving prime minister, was assassinated in a shooting on July 8, 2022. Abe had resigned as prime minister on August 28, 2020, citing health reasons. He was killed while delivering a campaign speech for a parliamentary candidate in Nara, Japan. Here's a look back at his political career.
