PARIS, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- French officials have identified the third attacker who opened fire at the Bataclan concert theater, where most people died in last month's attacks in Paris.

French media identified the third attacker as French national Foued Mohamed-Aggad, 23, from Strasbourg, France. He reportedly traveled to Syria in 2013 and was close to Mourad Fares, a top Islamic State recruiter in France.

He and two others, identified as Omar Ismail Mostefai, 29, and Samy Amimour, 28, are accused of a shooting rampage at the Bataclan. All three, who have been confirmed as French nationals, detonated their suicide vests at the end of the assault that killed 90 people.

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls confirmed "the name being circulated" is that of the third attacker, Mohamed-Agga, who was known to French anti-terrorism authorities and had a police record in his hometown of Strasbourg.
