Neither were injured.

A 63-year-old person who had lived at the facility the jet crashed into died, French Health Minister Marisol Touraine said. The deceased had lived there "for several years."

At least one of the injured residents was hospitalized in serious condition.

A witness identified only as Sebastien, told La Nouvelle Republique newspaper that he heard a "very loud noise" and saw a "huge fireball."

Touraine called for an investigation into the cause of the crash.

The uninjured residents of the home were transferred to other lodgings.
