Ukrainian government to hold first National Dialogue roundtable on May 14

Ukraine's first National Dialogue roundtable will be held on Wednesday, the Verkhovna Rada announced on its website a day earlier.

KIEV, Ukraine, May 13 (UPI) -- Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada, its parliament, announced Tuesday that the country's first National Dialogue roundtable will take place at the parliament building on Wednesday.

The parliament issued the announcement on its website:

"We are ready for the conversation with everybody who has legitimate political aims and is ready to stand for them by the legal means, with those who don't have blood on their hands. We invite representatives of all political forces from all regions, civil society, scientific circles for a dialogue on all issues and concerns the Ukrainian nation is facing now."

Invited participants include former Ukrainian presidents Leonid Kravchuk and Leonid Kuchma, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, cabinet ministers and members of parliament, presidential candidates, regional administration and regional council heads, local government agency representatives, leaders of religious organizations, public and international organizations, and public figures.

Ukraine's acting President Oleksandr Turchynov announced on May 8 plans to hold such a roundtable.
