REGGIO CALABRIA, Italy, July 20 (UPI) -- Italian police charged two reputed members of the Calabrian mob with murder Friday.
The men became suspects after police received an anonymous video, the Italian ANSA news agency reported. They were allegedly involved with killing a 42-year-old man last September and hiding the body.
Both are believed to be members of 'Ndrangheta, the organized crime group in Calabria, the region in southern Italy wedged between Naples, home of the Camorra, and Sicily, where La Cosa Nostra rules.
Investigators said they knew from the video and from wiretaps that three men were at the killing along with the victim. One suspect was arrested in March.
The arrests came a day after the National Association of Magistrates held a ceremony in Palermo, Sicily, to mark the 20th anniversary of the killing of Paolo Borsellino, a judge known for his work against the Sicilian mob. Borsellino and members of his security team were gunned down on July 19, 1992, Euronews reported.
