PORT SAID, Egypt, July 12 (UPI) -- An Egyptian Criminal court adjourned the trial of 73 suspects charged with killing 74 soccer fans after viewing footage of the February Port Said Stadium riots.

The Port Said Criminal Court ruled the trial would reconvene Sunday, when it would hear testimony from the prosecution's witnesses, the Egypt Independent reported.

Prosecutors said the suspects include nine police officers, three al-Masry club officials and one electrical engineer. They were all referred to criminal court March 15 for alleged involvement in the violence that took place after the soccer match between al-Masry and Ahly, the newspaper said.

The Port Said riots killed 70 and injured hundreds in what was the country's worst soccer rioting. Thousands of Masry fans descended onto the pitch at the end of the game and attacked Ahly fans on Feb. 1.
