Bomb kills Afghan peace negotiator, son

WATAPUR, Afghanistan, April 6 (UPI) -- An Afghan peace negotiator and one of his sons were killed Friday in a suicide bombing in northeast Afghanistan, officials said.

Mohammad Hashim Munib, a member of the provincial peace council for the Kunar province, and his son were killed in an attack in the Watapur district of Kunar, Khaama Press reported.

The bombing came immediately after Friday prayers, Khaama Press said.

No group had claimed responsibility for the attack, officials said.
