6.1-magnitude earthquake hits Argentina

SANTIAGO DEL ESTERO, Argentina, March 5 (UPI) -- A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck at a depth of 341 miles near Santiago del Estero, Argentina, Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The earthquake was about 69 miles east-southeast of Santiago del Estero and about 401 miles west-southwest of Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay.
