Minsk metro bombing death toll rises to 13

MINSK, Belarus, April 15 (UPI) -- A 13th person has died from injuries sustained in Monday's subway explosion in Minsk, Belarus, the country's Healthcare Ministry said Friday.

Among the 161 patients still hospitalized from Monday's explosion, 21 are in serious condition, ITAR-Tass reported.

A radio-controlled bomb was detonated at the Oktyabrskaya metro station during evening rush hour Monday, killing 12 people at the scene and injuring more than 190.

Police have detained five suspects.
