Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer to retire: a look back (10 images)

Justice Stephen Breyer, 83, has sat on the U.S. Supreme Court since 1994. He was appointed by President Bill Clinton. The court's eldest member, and one of three remaining liberal justices, Breyer is planning to retire at the end of the current term.
