April 10 (UPI) -- Former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg was sentenced Wednesday to five months behind bars for perjury. Weisselberg, 76, was ordered to serve his sentence at New York's Riker's Island after reaching a plea agreement last month.

Asked in court if he had anything to say about the perjury, Weisselberg replied, "No, your honor."
He was led out of the courtroom in handcuffs.
Weisselberg pleaded guilty to two felony counts of perjury on March 4 and admitted he "committed conduct" related to the sworn testimony, saying he knowingly lied to investigators while describing his knowledge of the size of the Trump Tower triplex in order to secure favorable loans.
Weisselberg had faced three perjury counts before the plea agreement.
In the 2023 civil case, the Trump Organization was found liable for business fraud.
Weisselberg got a five-month sentence in a criminal case last year for tax fraud in a 15-year Trump Organization tax scheme, but left jail after serving 100 days.
In that case Weisselberg had to pay nearly $2 million in penalties, taxes and interest on charges that he illegally avoided taxes on $1.7 million in income.
The income came from benefits the Trump Organization paid him off the books. They included a luxury apartment, two Mercedes-Benz vehicles and tuition for Weisselberg's grandchildren.
