Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Two people are dead following an early morning shooting Sunday in northeast Denver, the third fatal shooting in as many months in the neighborhood, police said.

Six people were shot in the 5050 block of Orleans Court in Denver. One boy and one man died, Denver police said.

"I don't want to say this neighborhood's horrible," a resident of Denver's Green Valley Ranch neighborhood said in reaction to the shooting and the upsurge in crime in her area of town. "My kids are outside every day in the summertime. I don't feel it's like daily living," she added.

Records indicate the first 911 call came in just before 1:30 a.m. and police said the shooting was not a random crime. Two shooting victims transported themselves to local hospitals and the other four were taken by ambulance, police said.

Police also responded to a shooting at a party just before Halloween in the same neighborhood and in May a shooting suspect barricaded himself in a home a block away.

"Not fun to live in this," the neighbor said.

Denver police have not yet released the names of the deceased nor any information about a suspect. The incident was "not random," Department spokesman, Sean Towles, said.

The condition of the four survivors was also not available, police said.
