July 30 (UPI) -- Two Walmart employees were killed and two others injured, including a police officer, during a shooting in the Memphis suburb of Southaven, Miss., on Tuesday.
WATN-TV reported that the shooting occurred around 6:45 a.m. A suspect was being treated at Regional One Health Center.
DeSoto County Sheriff Bill Rasco said the suspect was a former Walmart employee who worked at the store until Monday. An officer wounded in the shooting was taken to DeSoto Baptist Hospital and expected to recover.
Rasco said two store employees had been shot when deputies arrived.
