Authorities said the shooter had died but did not specify whether that person was among the three reported dead.

Two of the dead are believed to be students and more than a dozen were injured, KOAT-TV reported.

Authorities said families of the victims have been notified but few details on the incident or motive were immediately known.

Police asked parents to stay away from the school, which was placed on lockdown.
