June 13 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump is expected to focus on workforce apprenticeship programs and make a statement on healthcare during his trip to Wisconsin on Tuesday.

He is scheduled to visit Waukesha County Technical College in Pewaukee with his daughter, Ivanka Trump, Secretary of Labor Alex Acosta and Gov. Scott Walker to tour its apprenticeship program.

Trump's administration is a proponent of a greater emphasis on workforce skills. Acosta told reporters during a conference call that nine of 10 graduates of apprenticeship programs taught in the nation's community colleges find work immediately after graduation at average starting salaries of $60,000 per year, the Lacrosse Tribune reported.

Trump and his party will also meet with local business owners and apprentices on the one-day visit to Wisconsin.

The White House scheduled a statement by Trump on healthcare for later in the afternoon.

In the evening he will attend a $1,000-per-ticket fundraiser in Milwaukee for Walker, who is expected to announce his campaign for re-election soon.

Walker is expected to visit the White House on Thursday to meet with Trump, and governors of eight other states, to discuss workforce issues.
