May 17 (UPI) -- The National Weather Service reported more than 20 tornadoes occurred throughout the central United States, where one person died in Wisconsin and another in Oklahoma.
The tornadoes occurred in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska and Wisconsin on Tuesday.
Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said one person died and 25 others were injured -- including a baby -- when a tornado hit the Prairie Lake Estate Mobile Park in Cameron in northwest Wisconsin, though the tornado has yet to be confirmed by the NWS.
The possible tornado destroyed about 40 trailer homes.

"I know there were walls on top of people," Fitzgerald told reporters. "I would describe it as total destruction. There's a whole row where there should be trailers that there's nothing but debris."
In Oklahoma, a tornado in western Beckham County killed one person who had been inside of a vehicle in a rural area south of Elk City, Beckham County Emergency Management Agency Director Lonnie Risenhoover said, adding that up to 30 homes and businesses in the Elk City area were damaged. No other injuries were reported.
"My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the tornado in Elk City tonight," Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin said in a statement.
The NWS expects thunderstorms on Wednesday for the Lower Mississippi Valley and parts of the Upper Midwest.
"Some of these storms may be severe and contain heavy rainfall capable of producing flash flooding," the NWS said in a statement.
