Riley was playing the game, walking along the promenade when he was shot in the chest. Police said he was not robbed. Paramedics performed CPR on him, but he died at the scene.

Investigators don't have any witnesses despite the shooting taking place in public place with people still in the area. It is also not known if the game had anything to do with Riley's shooting.

Police are gathering surveillance footage, hoping to find images of the shooter.
