Phoenix police tie 'serial street shooter' to ninth incident

PHOENIX, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Phoenix police tied a new incident to the "serial street shooter" on Wednesday. The shooter has allegedly already killed seven people.

The latest incident took place on July 11, when an unidentified man shot at, but missed a 21-year-old man and a 4-year-old boy in a car along a residential street in Phoenix.

The previous known attack was a triple homicide in the the Phoenix suburb of Maryvale on June 12.

The first victim is considered to be Krystal Annette White, 55, who was shot in the early hours of April 19.

Investigators now believe the shooter uses multiple cars. Witnesses describe the vehicles as probably a white Cadillac or Lincoln and black late 1990s or early 2000s BMW 5 Series.

The "serial street shooter" is considered responsible for seven shooting deaths, two people being wounded and two cars damaged by bullets.
