LOS ANGELES, March 31 (UPI) -- Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday, Republican presidential candidate Texas Sen. Ted Cruz joked he might consider running over his rival Donald Trump with a car.

Cruz made the remark, which drew laughter from the crowd, after Kimmel pointedly asked Cruz who he disliked more, Trump or President Barack Obama.

At first, Cruz offered a serious answer, saying "I dislike Obama's policies more."

Then he pondered what has grown into a deeply personal feud with Trump.

"If I were in my car and getting ready to reverse and saw Donald in the backup camera, I'm not confident which pedal I'd push," Cruz said.

The remainder of the interview included Kimmel's "random questions" bit, where Cruz said Mueslix is his favorite cereal, which drew a laugh from Kimmel.

"Now that surprised you," Cruz said. "You were expecting Captain Crunch or Fruit Loops."

"No, I was expecting Mueslix," Kimmel responded.
