TACOMA, Wash., Oct. 27 (UPI) -- There were new legal troubles Monday for Steven Powell, the Washington State man whose daughter-in-law, Susan Cox-Powell, vanished in Utah.

Powell, 64, who was recently released after doing time for voyeurism, was arrested on a re-instated child pornography charge. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday in Tacoma, Wash.

Powell's son, Josh, is suspected of killing his wife in 2009. Josh Powell and his two young sons died in a suspected murder-suicide in a 2012 house fire in Graham, Wash.

Police investigating Cox-Powell's disappearance found photos Powell had taken surreptitiously of young neighbors during a search of his home. A judge dismissed a child pornography charge but has now been overruled by an appeals court. Powell was convicted of voyeurism and served more than 30 months.

Josh Powell told investigators he had taken his sons on an overnight camping trip and returned to find his wife gone.
