Two women were kayaking and taking pictures off the shore of Plymouth Beach when one of the kayaks was bitten.

One of the women, Ida Parker said the shark went underneath the other woman's boat, launched her backwards before coming after Parker. She added, "It was dark gray, pointy nose, big teeth, big eyes. It was like, right next to me. It was petrifying."
The women who were uninjured, swam away as did the shark.
In June, scientists said great white shark numbers are on the rise.
