Logan may be returning to her job, but critics say it's unclear whether she'll be able to repair her reputation as a journalist.

WASHINGTON, June 5 (UPI) -- Journalist Lara Logan is back to work at 60 Minutes after a seven-month suspension for reporting a false story on the attack in Benghazi.

CBS News confirmed Wednesday that Logan has returned to work and will most likely start reporting segments in the Fall. Until then, she will appear on other CBS broadcast programs including CBS Evening News and CBS This Morning. Sources told the Hollywood Reporter that Logan is excited to get back to work.

Logan's suspension came after she reported a story about the attack on the American embassy in Benghazi, Libya, which resulted in the deaths of four Americans including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens. In the story, she interviewed Dylan Davies, a security contractor in Libya, who lied to Logan about his whereabouts during the time of the attack.

Both Logan and CBS News were scrutinized for the poorly researched piece of journalism. Logan apologized for the story on-air and executive producer Jeff Fager took responsibility in an internal memo regarding her suspension, "As executive producer, I am responsible for what gets on the air. I pride myself in catching almost everything, but this deception got through and it shouldn't have."
