Two lottery tickets sold in Maryland, Florida split $400 million

MERRITT ISLAND, Fla., March 19 (UPI) -- Two tickets, one in Maryland and one in Florida, were winners in the $400 million Mega Millions lottery, the third largest jackpot ever, lottery officials said.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were 11, 19, 24, 33 and 51 with a Mega Ball of 7.

Lottery officials in Maryland said a winning ticket was sold in Charles County, the Washington Post reported Wednesday. Officials said the person holding the ticket hasn't contacted them and that they were working to notify the outlet where the winning ticket was sold.

Lottery officials in Florida said the winning ticket was sold at a Brevard County Sunoco Gas Station in Merritt Island, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

The jackpot is the third-largest lottery prize among Mega Millions jackpots, officials said. Mega Millions game is played in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
