SAN DIEGO, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner's home confinement sentence means he will spend three months in a posh city apartment with plenty of room to wander.
Earlier this week Filner, 71, pleaded guilty to one felony and two misdemeanors related to sexual harassment allegations made against him earlier in the year.
His sentence of three months home confinement will be at the Vantage Pointe apartments, a 40-story, 679-unit complex with a gym, a Jacuzzi and a tenth-floor outdoor deck with a great view of the city, the newspaper U-T San Diego reported Friday.
Real estate developer Sherman Harmer called it "an amenity-rich building."
Residents typically order delivered meals from upscale neighborhood restaurants, and the building has an on-premises mini-park for dog walking, the newspaper said, adding Vantage Pointe is "not exactly a prison."
