Parents of Olympic gymnasts catch burglar breaking into home

WAUKESHA, Wis., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- A burglar was caught breaking into the Waukesha, Wis., home of the parents of Olympic gymnasts Paul and Morgan Hamm, court records show.

Sandy Hamm set up cameras after his wife Colleen noticed some of her hydrocodone pills had disappeared from their home Oct. 23 and 25. Sunday morning they caught a burglar entering the home, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

Amanda Mitchell, 35, a co-worker of Colleen Hamm, allegedly was caught and held by Sandy Hamm until police arrived. She admitted an addiction to painkillers, the complaint said.

She has been charged with three counts of burglary.
