WASHINGTON -- The government shutdown isn't only impacting federal employees, but small businesses too. Food trucks dependent upon the cravings of many federal workers are already struggling.
Red Hook Lobster Pound parked its wheels in Southwest D.C. on Tuesday and attracted only 30 customers, compared to 200 on average days. But Cirque Cuisine located near Union Station, a mile away from Red Hook Lobster Pound, said business wasn't that bad as it continued to attract a diverse mix of customers.
