HENDERSON, Nev., Sept. 23 (UPI) -- A Henderson, Nev., woman and her son whose bodies were found last week were stabbed to death, coroners said, as police searched for her eldest son.
Police said they found the bodies of Elvira Canales-Gomez, 40, and her 9-year-old son Cesar Navarro in their apartment Friday after family members said they had not been heard from for several days.
Adrian Navarro, 16, another son of Canales-Gomez, also lives at the apartment but has not been seen since Wednesday of last week, investigators said.
Police added they do not consider Adrian Navarro a suspect in the case.
The missing teen's father, also named Adrian Navarro, urged his son to not be afraid and to find a way to contact his family when grief-stricken relatives gathered at the apartment Saturday, KVVU-TV, Las Vegas, reported.
