WINTER SPRINGS, Fla., Sept. 17 (UPI) -- A Florida teacher was charged with child luring and other crimes for allegedly sending sexual explicit messages to a 14-year-old student, authorities said.
Seminole County sheriff's deputies arrested Daniel Kelly, 26, at the Winter Springs private school where he worked with students with learning problems.
Kelly was charged with transmitting harmful material to a minor by electronic device and using a computer to seduce, solicit or lure a child, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel said Tuesday.
Deputies said in their arrest report that Kelly and the girl allegedly exchanged hundreds of electronic messages in May, which were found on her smart phone.
The girl later told deputies she and Kelly had exchanged photos of one another in their underwear, but there had been no physical contact, the Sentinel said.
