Pedicab industry gains momentum in Washington

WASHINGTON, July 29 -- Pedicabs made their American debut in Seattle in 1962 and have since gained popularity in metro areas across the country. New York offered its first pedicab ride in 1995 and now boasts nearly 850 cruisers. And despite growing from five to 70 cabs in the past six years, the District of Columbia is still playing catch-up.
