Kissinger hospitalized in New York

NEW YORK, March 5 (UPI) -- Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was admitted to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center after a fall at his home, the hospital said.

Kissinger, 89, was admitted Tuesday for observation and was expected to be discharged Tuesday, the hospital said in a news release.

Kissinger served as national security adviser under former President Richard Nixon and was secretary of state from 1973 to 1977 under Nixon and former President Gerald Ford.
