NEWINGTON, Conn., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- A Connecticut woman is free on bond after being arrested on charges she pulled a gun on another woman during an argument at a restaurant, officials say.
Police said Tawana Bourne was at the Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant in Newington with her child when she got into an argument with a woman who was also there with her child, the New Britain Herald reported Tuesday.
Bourne, of Middletown, pulled a .380-caliber semi-automatic handgun during the argument and chambered a round, police said.
Shkurte Berisha of New Britain, the other mother, said the argument began after she talked to Bourne's son who, she said, had pushed Berisha's 2-year-old daughter off a ride, The Hartford Courant reported.
Bourne pulled the gun and pointed it at Berisha, who pushed her daughter behind her.
Bourne eventually put the gun away.
Restaurant staff immediately called police and kept the women separated until police arrived.
Bourne was released on $50,000 bond after being charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, breach of peace, three counts of risk of injury to a child and second-degree threatening.
Police said she had a permit for the gun.
Bourne, 30, is founder of a non-profit organization called Healthy Home Healthy Child, which helps children.
