Zimmerman: Martin said 'you got me'

SANFORD, Fla., June 21 (UPI) -- The attorney for accused Florida killer George Zimmerman released the man's police interviews in which he said Trayvon Martin's last words were "you got me."

Attorney Mark O'Mara posted Zimmerman's interviews and written statement on his Web site, www.gzlegalcase.com, the Miami Herald reported Thursday.

Hours after the Feb. 26 shooting of the unarmed teenager, Sanford Police lead investigator Chris Serino questioned Zimmerman about why he thought Martin was suspicious, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

"If you guys continue Neighborhood Watch, typically the garb is black on black on black with a black hoodie. This guy had a gray hoodie. But his pants were beige. Not exactly your prime suspect type," Serino said on the recording.

Zimmerman said the teen had repeatedly slammed his head into the concrete and covered his nose and mouth to prevent him from yelling out

"My head felt like it was going to explode," Zimmerman wrote.

He said Martin told him, "You're gonna die tonight [expletive]," he said. "In fear for my life as he has assured me he was going to kill me," Zimmerman wrote, he shot the teen in the torso.

Zimmerman wrote Martin said, "You got me," and fell back, the Sentinel reported.
