Seattle mayor's home vandalized

SEATTLE, May 3 (UPI) -- Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn's home was vandalized after violent May Day protests, police say.

McGinn's wife called police at about 12:35 a.m. Wednesday after hearing glass break in her home and finding a rock ground next to shards of glass, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported.

She told police she looked outside and saw two people.

"Suspect 1 was looking at her and waved," Officer Chris Anderson wrote in a police report. "The other individual was standing near suspect 1 but she was unable to describe the suspect. They both walked away southbound on Dayton Avenue North."

Police said they believe the vandalism at McGinn's home was committed by an anarchist group that was responsible for damaging several downtown Seattle buildings Tuesday.

Officers have not released detailed suspect descriptions and have not made arrests.
